Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand (adapted by Andrew Upton)
About the Play
Cyrano de Bergerac, Edmond Rostands classic tale of a nose so large it kept a great love unrequited, is a wild and glorious poem in praise of love and sacrifice. It is a hugely entertaining, swashbuckling, fairytale adventure aimed straight at your heart.
In this brand new production, seven actors follow Cyranos lead and defy rationality, reason and sense in favour of passion, poetry and panache, to bring you more than 35 characters, full-blown battle scenes, pastry-stuffed bakeries, and a horse-drawn carriage made entirely of food!
Presented by Black Swan Theatre Company in association with Happy Dagger Theatre.
