Teacher Workshops

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS

Aligned with ATAR drama curriculum theatre practitioner methodologies, Black Swan's Teaching Artists will facilitate theoretical and hands on workshops for secondary teachers in the metropolitan area. Practitioners include Laban (viewpoints), Wilson (LePage), Grotowski and Kosky.

Hosted twice a year, these workshops will allow teachers to:

  • Connect with like-minded peers and industry professionals
  • Leave with a deeper understanding of a range of theatre methodologies
  • Feel confident to transfer skills learnt in the workshops into the classroom
The workshops provided by Black Swan were both engaging and informative. There were interesting activities that could readily be applied to the classroom. N. Pearce, Kelmscott Senior High School
We were brought together by our love to learn and had a great time exploring practitioners as students. Just the right amount of fun, networking and learning. N. Cox - Lumen Christi College
I applied Viewpoints in rehearsal with my year 12's. They loved it. Great stuff! Thanks again for the workshop! S. Marshall, Mater Dei College
