Song in the Key of Trust, is the story of Momed Saluman from Maputo, Mozambique and his journey to becoming a well-known musician who travels the world and now currently lives in Fremantle.
Written and performed by Mararo Wangai and directed by Emily McLean the monologue premiered 7:30pmWST Tuesday 21 July.
Mararo hopes “audiences receive an insight into an artist that recognises his own self-belief needed in seeing your dreams come true and about finding your purpose early in life and sticking to your convictions, which is important for this generation that their beliefs will shape them and not the world’s circumstances. Stay true to yourself.” He’s enjoyed performing solo as it has given him the chance to sink deeper into the character and being honest to bring them to life.
