Help us continue to provide opportunities for artists in Western Australia
At Black Swan we are thrilled to provide ongoing employment opportunities for Western Australian artists to develop their skills, collaborate, create work and have an impact on the cultural landscape of our state.
Western Australian artist Tyler Hill, is an emerging set and costume designer who graduated from WAAPA in 2016. Tyler made his debut with Black Swan for our 2017 production Endgame and in 2018 joined us as a Resident Artist. We seek your support to assist us to continue provide opportunities for talented young graduates like Tyler.
This year, Tyler has already worked as the set and costume designer for the very successful Black Swan, Perth Festival and DADAA collaboration; You Know We Belong Together (directed by Clare Watson), was engaged as the set designer on Hir (directed by Zoe Pepper) and also added his designer eye to the theming of the Summer of the Seventeenth Doll dinner party.
Tyler is just one example of Black Swan’s commitment to ensuring the next generation of Western Australian artists are given creative employment opportunities.
Your support will enable us to continue our work in providing important opportunities for local artists to make a lasting impact. Please help us support artists such as Tyler, so we can provide more opportunities for their continued development.
