How our donors support WA artists
At Black Swan we are thrilled to provide ongoing employment opportunities for Western Australian artists to develop their skills, collaborate, create work and have an impact on the cultural landscape of our state.
WA artist Tyler Hill is an emerging set and costume designer who graduated from WAAPA in 2016. Tyler made his debut with Black Swan for our 2017 production Endgame and in 2018 joined us as a Resident Artist. Donations to Black Swan assist us to provide opportunities for talented young graduates like Tyler.
In 2018, Tyler has worked as the set and costume designer for the very successful Black Swan, Perth Festival and DADAA collaboration; You Know We Belong Together (directed by Clare Watson), was engaged as the set designer on Hir (directed by Zoe Pepper) and also added his designer eye to theme the Summer of the Seventeenth Doll dinner party.
Tyler is just one example of Black Swan’s commitment to ensuring the next generation of Western Australian artists are given creative employment opportunities.
Help us develop and provide opportunities for WA artists, like Tyler and make a lasting impact.
